In my own meditation and ponderings I keep being impressed that I need to ‘prepare.’ The word ‘prepare’ seems to keep coming up. So, I am going to make a list of scriptural references to the word ‘prepare’ in the Doctrine and Covenants.
D&C 1:12 Prepare ye, prepare ye for that which is to come, for the Lord is nigh;
D&C 29:8 Wherefore the decree hath gone forth from the Father that they shall be gathered in unto one place upon the face of this land, to prepare their hearts and be prepared in all things against the day when tribulation and desolation are sent forth upon the wicked.

D&C 38:30 I tell you these things because of your prayers; wherefore, treasure up wisdom in your bosoms, lest the wickedness of men reveal these things unto you by their wickedness, in a manner which shall speak in your ears with a voice louder than that which shall shake the earth; but if ye are prepared ye shall not fear.
D&C 45:9 And even so I have sent mine everlasting covenant into the world, to be a light to the world, and to be a stand for my people, and for the Gentiles to seek to it, and to be a messenger before my face to prepare the way before me.
D&C 45:61 Wherefore I give unto you that ye may now translate it, that ye may be prepared for the things to come.
D&C 58:6-7 Behold, verily I say unto you, for this cause I have sent you—that you might be obedient, and that your hearts might be prepared to bear testimony of the things which are to come; And also that you might be honored in laying the foundation, and in bearing record of the land upon which the Zion of God shall stand;
D&C 78:7 For if you will that I give unto you a place in the celestial world, you must prepare yourselves by doing the things which I have commanded you and required of you.

D&C 88:80 That ye may be prepared in all things when I shall send you again to magnify the calling whereunto I have called you, and the mission with which I have commissioned you.
D&C 88:84 Therefore, tarry ye, and labor diligently, that you may be perfected in your ministry to go forth among the Gentiles for the last time, as many as the mouth of the Lord shall name, to bind up the law and seal up the testimony, and to prepare the saints for the hour of judgment which is to come;
D&C 88:92 And angels shall fly through the midst of heaven, crying with a loud voice, sounding the trump of God, saying: Prepare ye, prepare ye, O inhabitants of the earth; for the judgment of our God is come. Behold, and lo, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
